Principal's Message

Welcome to Belle Chasse Middle School. My name is Kayla Clark, and I am the principal of the school. I would like to share a little about me. I am very passionate about education, and I love being a bulldog. Before becoming principal, I was a special education teacher, 7th and 8th grade science teacher, and most recently assistant principal here at BCMS. I have spent my entire educational career, 28 years, at this school. All four of my children have attended Belle Chasse Middle School as did I many years ago. So, I believe in our school as a student, teacher, parent and administrator. This school is home for me, and it is my hope that it will feel like home for your student as well. We have a wonderful, fun, nurturing staff who truly "gets" middle school students.

I believe that great schools are the result of a great faculty, so I will be working closely with assistant principals, Fern Billiot, Will Root, and Olivia Hebert, school counselor, Natacha Paige, and social worker, Robin Pannagl, to support our faculty academically, as wells as, behaviorally. We will strive to ensure that every student has an optimal middle school experience. We will provide an environment where our students feel safe, are intellectually challenged, and have access to social and emotional support that is so critical to students during the middle school years.

I am looking forward to a great year. Thank you for the opportunity to serve your family in this role. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me if you have any questions, concerns, or ideas you would like to share. [email protected] or 595-6642

Sincerely,
Kayla Clark
