Principal's Message

It is my absolute honor and privilege to welcome you to Belle Chasse Middle School. Whether you are a returning family or joining our pack for the very first time, we are thrilled to have you as part of our school community.

This school holds a deeply special place in my heart. This year marks my 31st year serving the students and families of Belle Chasse Middle—but my history here goes back even further. I am a proud former Bulldog myself, and all four of my own children walked these same halls as Bulldogs. This isn't just a school to me; it is home, and our students and staff are family.

At BCMS, we firmly believe that if you have a child's heart, you have their mind. As a Capturing Kids' Hearts Rising Star school, our top priority is building a safe, nurturing, and connected environment where every single student feels seen, heard, and valued.

We know that middle school is a time of immense growth, transition, and discovery. That is why we focus heavily on relational leadership and building strong processes within our classrooms: Launching Each Day with Positivity-We greet our students intentionally to start every day on the right foot. Creating Social Contracts-Students and teachers work together to decide how they want to treat one another, fostering self-management and mutual respect. Focusing on Affirmations-We celebrate successes, big and small, and build each other up as a community.

Excellence is a tradition here, but it takes a village. We are committed to partnering with you—our parents and community members—to ensure our students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. My door is always open, and I encourage you to stay involved in your child’s educational journey.
