Very Important Book Pick up Information
Good afternoon everyone,
Book pick up will be this weekend on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday in the BCMS gym. Please choose a day and time most convenient for you. You do not need to come all three days. Please pick a time that best fits your family's schedule. We will move everyone in and out as fast as possible. But, you may experience delays. Please be sure both parent and student wears a mask. The schedule of times is as follows.
Friday--9:00-10:00 All 7th grade students and parents
10:00-11:00 All 8th grade students and parents
11:00-12:00 5th and 6th grade VIRTUAL ONLY students and parents only
12:00-2:00 All 7th and 8th grade parents and students and 5th and 6th grade virtual students and parents welcome. This slot is in case you could not make it to
your earlier time slot from 9:00-12:00.
Saturday--9:00-12:00 ALL 7th and 8th grade students and parents whether virtual or not and all Virtual only 5th and 6th grade students and parents.
Sunday--3:00-5:00 ALL 7th and 8th grade students and parents whether virtual or not and all Virtual only 5th and 6th grade students and parents.
It is mandatory that every 7th and 8th grade student come to the school to pick up books during one of the time slots provided. If you are coming at the top of the hour, please expect a few delays. The student will receive a bag full of books, novels, and an agenda to use for the first nine weeks. EVERY 7TH AND 8TH GRADE STUDENT NEEDS TO PICK UP A BAG WHETHER VIRTUAL OR NOT. In addition to the bag of books, every 7th and 8th grade student will receive an envelope with all first day paperwork and a schedule. If the student is going to go to school face-to-face, the student will also be given a box of 50 disposable masks and one cloth mask. You may purchase your own mask for your student. However, the purchased mask may only contain the BCMS logo. There is no specific place to buy these. As long as it contains only BCMS and/or a bulldog image it will be accepted. The students will not be allowed to wear any other type of mask. If your student needs a chromebook in order to complete assignments, whether virtually or during the hybrid mode, you will pick these up during this time. There is a form that the parent must fill out in order to be issued a chromebook. So, parents must come in with the student.
7th grade students attending face-to-face instruction will attend school on Mondays, Wednesdays, and the following Fridays--August 21, September 4th, September 18th and October 2nd.
8th grade students attending face-to-face instruction will attend school on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and the following Fridays--August 28, September 11th, September 25th and October 9th.
Only virtual 5th and 6th grade students will come to pick up books. If your 5th or 6th grade student is attending face-to-face school, you do not need to come. Book pick up and computer pick up for 5th and 6th graders are for Virtual students only. Virtual 5th and 6th grade students will given a bag full of books, novels, and an agenda to use for the first nine weeks. ONLY VIRTUAL 5th and 6th graders need to come to book pick up.
